After her successful tour to Asia with Berliner Philharmoniker in 2016, followed by her debut at the Osterfestspiele Baden-Baden in Wagner’s Parsifal and at the Berlin Philharmonie in concert version, Iwona Sobotka looks forward once more for a collaboration with distinguished British conductor Sir Simon Rattle.

At this occasion she will perform Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass with Staatskapelle Berlin. The first concert is at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden on Monday, November 12th followed by a second concert at the Berliner Philharmonie on Tuesday, November 13th.

Over the course of the season, Iwona will appear also with Sir Simon Rattle for the fundraising concert to kick start the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra’s Centenary Fund as the orchestra will celebrate it’s 100th Birthday in 2020. Other highlights of Iwona’s 2018/19 season include debuts at the Adelaide Festival with Komische Oper Berlin, at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid as Esperanza in Gimenez’ Maria del Pilar, return to National Opera of Poland as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic flute and Verdi`s Requiem with Orquesta Sinfonica de Barcelona amongst others.
