Highlights from Sobotka’s 2024/25 season included highly acclaimed performances in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Orchestre National de France under Riccardo Muti, role debuts as Aida and Turandot at Teatr Wielki in Poznań, Senta in Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer at the National Performing Arts Center in Taipei, Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, collaborations with Sir Simon Rattle and the Czech Philharmonic in Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass, and performances of Strauss’s Vier letzte Lieder with the Warsaw Philharmonic during the Beethoven Easter Festival.
