Iwona Sobotka Earns Triple Nomination for the upcoming 2025 Fryderyk Awards, highlighting her significant contributions to classical music in Poland.
She appears twice in the “Album of the Year – Oratorio and Opera Music” category for her work on “Górecki 90” with the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra under Yaroslav Shemet, and for “Karol Szymanowski” with the NFM Choir and NFM Wrocław Philharmonic conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero.
Her performance on the “Karol Szymanowski” recording has also earned recognition in the prestigious “Most Outstanding Polish Music Recording” category, where she faces strong competition from other notable classical releases.
The Fryderyk Awards, named after the composer Fryderyk Chopin, are Poland’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards and celebrate excellence across the Polish music landscape. Sobotka’s multiple nominations reflect her artistry and dedication to performing Polish classical repertoire.
